BAMF
The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) is responsible for asylum, migration and integration in Germany. In this context, integration courses were introduced in 2005 to teach the language, legal system, culture and history in Germany.
The integration course consists of a language course (600 units) and an orientation course (100 units). The language course concludes with the examination "Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer" (DTZ), the orientation course concludes with the final test "Living in Germany". Upon successful completion of both tests, the "Zertifikat Integrationskurs" is issued, which can be used to apply for naturalization in Germany, among other things.
Due to the diversity of learners and their learning requirements, there are a number of special courses which extend the time frame of the integration courses. However, the contents do not differ. Important topics from everyday life are covered, such as:
- work and occupation
- apprenticeship and in-service training
- childcare and education
- Shopping / Retail / Consumption
- Free time and social contacts
- Health and hygiene / human body
- Media and media use
- Living
The Akademie-Eureka is naturally oriented towards these topics. The learners learn to write e-mails, to fill in forms and to use situational speaking aids. In addition, the learners receive adequate preparation for the examination.
